The election process for the student representative at Sulaimani Polytechnic University will be carried out annually in the early Autumn semester in all stages, departments, and colleges of the university. The process of election is conducted as follows:
- The process starts by electing the representative of each stage of academic departments.
- Then, the elected students vote to elect their department-level representative student.
- Later, a college representative will be elected.
- Finally, the general student’s representative will be elected amongst the colleges’ representative members.
The election process is carried out with utmost fairness and transparency to ensure that there is no discrimination based on age, economic or social status, political beliefs or affiliations, racial or ethnic background, sex, religion, creed, national origin, gender identity, handicap, and major or minor.
