Organizing of a Workshop on “How to Manage Job Creation enters”

The American organization IREX organized a workshop in Erbil on “How to Manage Job Creation Centers” for 14 state universities in the Kurdistan Region, to identify the ways of managing Job centers in the cultural and academic centers of the universities.

The American consulate and Deputy Prime Minister for Scientific Affairs and graduate adviser (Mr.Delan Aqrawe) as well as representative of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and numbers of Businessmen attended the work shop which was lasted for 3 days in Kanyon Hotel in Erbil.

Representatives of the SPU were, Mrs.Banaz Noori Rasheed, (Director of Professional and vocational training and Career Development Centre CDC), and Mr.Sarkhell Sirwan and Mr.Haider Ni’mat ,the workshop focused on the planning on encouraging college and university graduates to work in the private sectors in addition to raising the levels of students to be eligible to work in the private sectors.

Besides the workshop included methods of collecting information and data on the market to enable the Centre to find appropriate jobs for the graduates and also advise the graduates on the technique of interviews and filling of C.V s.

At the third day of the workshop, numbers of companies were invited to identify the objects of the workshop and to be introduced to the Directorate of Professional and vocational training and employment of the universities, to communicate with them for the purpose of employment and this will be a way to enhance and encourage our local employees and reduce the importing of foreigners employee.

And finally the participants received certifications from the workshops organizer.
