On (5-4-2022) on World Energy Day, Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center in collaboration with Technical College of Engineering, Department of Petroleum and Energy organized a workshop entitled “The influence of sustainable energy solutions”. 

The workshop was attended by Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh, Head of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Dean of College of Engineering, Prof. Atta Sheikh Karim, Head of Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering and a number of teachers of the college.

The aim of the workshop was to focus on energy conservation methods in the world, as well as the use of energy resources in the Kurdistan Region and in many countries around the world. Three topics were presented in the workshop:

The first paper was presented by Dr. Diyar Omar Kaka from the Department of Petroleum and Energy Engineering entitled “The economic impact energy sources in Kurdistan reign”.

The second topic was presented by Karzan Qadir Mohammed from the Department of Electrical Power Engineering entitled “The impact of distributed generation power system”.

The third topic was presented by Shadman Shukri Saeed, Engineer in Sulaimani Electricity Directorate entitled “The role of renewable energy in Kurdistan as a source of electricity generation”.

Finally, the presenters of the workshop answered many of the serious questions of the participants and the workshop ended with a scientific and informative discussion.

Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center in collaboration with Technical College of Engineering Department of Oil and Energy organized a workshop entitled “The Role and Influence of Energy in Directing Political and Economic Relations” today in the seminar hall of Chawarchra Technical Colleges.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Ali Mohammed Saleh, Head of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Dean of College of Engineering, Prof. Atta Sheikh Karim and a number of teachers of the college.

Four topics were presented in the workshop:

The first paper was presented by Rebwar Mohammed Amin, holder of a master’s degree in oil and gas contracts, entitled “Procedures for concluding oil and gas contracts according to international and regional laws”.

The second paper was presented by Bahjat Ali Ahmad, holder of a master’s degree in Iraqi oil contracts, entitled “Solving the legal problems of oil contracts”.

The third paper was presented by Miran Hassan Hussein, Master’s Degree in International Relations, entitled “The Impact of Gas in Directing International Policy”.

The fourth paper was presented by Khabat Mohammed Ahmad, holder of a master’s degree in geotechnical engineering, entitled “The role and position of oil and gas in the new energy map of the Kurdistan Region at the regional and international levels.”

Finally, the presenters of the workshop answered many of the serious questions of the participants and the workshop ended with a scientific and informative discussion.

On World Mother Language Day, a workshop entitled “The Need for Awareness in Strengthening, Development and Teaching of Mother Language” was held at the Presidency of Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

In the presence of Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, Rector of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Prof. Soran Abubakr, Vice Rector for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dana Ahmad, Vice Rector for Administrative and Financial Affairs and a number of researchers and linguists On the occasion of World Mother Language Day, Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center organized a workshop entitled “The Need for Awareness in Strengthening, Development and Teaching Mother Language”. Dr. Karzan Mohammed, Expert in Media Law and M. Choli Asad, Expert in Media Language.

At the beginning of the workshop, Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon Ali Amin, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, said: “Our university has always tried to play a major role in serving society.

 Because the mother tongue is life and grows with us, we must all preserve this sweet language and make it the basis of our discussions in academic and scientific centers”.

Professor Dr. Alan Faraidoon said: “Mother tongue plays a major role in universities for teaching and education so that we can build a strong generation that has the ability to discuss in society and have good relations with the environment to serve the future of society. He named his laboratories after those who have done great service to the Kurdish language”.

Then M. Choli Assad, a media expert and a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented a historical brief about World Mother’s Day, which first originated in Bangladesh, and highlighted the positive aspects of the mother tongue that has a great impact on the development of childhood and personality. Mother tongue should be the first choice in any society.

Afterwards, Prof. Karzan Mohammed, an expert in media law and a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented awareness about linguistic law and the role of the media in educating a moderate individual, as well as several theories about the role and impact of mother tongue He pointed out the stages of development of the Kurdish language.

Finally, in an open discussion, the participants enriched the workshop with their views and comments and gifts of Sulaimani Polytechnic University were presented to two university professors (Prof. Karzan Mohammed and M. Choli Asad).

Sulaimani Polytechnic University Research Center organized a workshop entitled “Improving the Capacity of Oil Product Companies in the Kurdistan Region” on Thursday morning 24-2-2022.

Three topics were presented in the workshop:

1- A paper entitled “Role of Technology in Oil Products Projects” by Professor “Twana Naseh” at Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

2- A paper entitled “Mechanism of Measurement and Control of Movement of Hydrocarbon Products” by Dr. “Hiwa Sadiq” at Republic University

3- An article entitled “How companies can help universities” by Engineer “Zanyar Nabaz” Project Manager of Power Petro.

Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University participated in a workshop entitled “Assessing the Risks of Corruption and Investigate its Causes and How to Prevent Corruption”, in this context on Sunday (June 5, 2022) a two-day workshop to assess the risks of corruption in the education sector The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the President of the Hygiene Commission in the Kurdistan Region, advisors and general directors of both sides, representatives of some Kurdistan universities by two experts in the field of corruption who work as trainers in the Iraqi Office of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

Participation as a research center in an international workshop entitled (Water Problems and the Role of Aerial Images and Geographical Information Systems) in the Department of Geography, College of Humanities, Halabja University, in collaboration with Sulaimani Polytechnic University and Guilan University in Iran.

 

 

Today (2023⁄4⁄5) a workshop entitled (Towards a healthier lifestyle) was held by Bakrajo Technical Institute in collaboration with the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in which the importance of quality of major nutrients in meals was presented.

 

This morning Tuesday 2023/4/11 in the seminar hall of Chawarchra Technical Colleges campus a workshop entitled wastewater treatment and water moagement in Kurdistan was held

The workshop was organized by the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University in collaboration with the Technical College of Engineering

The workshop discussed the problems of natural water resources in the Kurdistan Region and the problems that cause more droughts and how suitable the water in the Kurdistan Region is in terms of health and what plans should be put in place to solve the water problem

This morning Wednesday (3/5/2023), in the presence of Mr. (Prof. Ali Mohammed Saleh) Director of Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University and Mr. (Prof. Kawa Reza) Dean of Bakrajo Technical Institute A workshop entitled (Climate Change and its Impacts on Agricultural Crops) was held by the Research Center of Sulaimani Polytechnic University in collaboration with Bakrajo Technical Institute and College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences – Sulaimani University. Prof. Kawa Reza) Dean of the Institute, then each of the presenters presented the topic of the workshop in which the impact of climate change on agricultural products and several important topics were presented, the end of the workshop was enriched with discussions and questions. Today Monday (8/5/2023) workshop (The role of media in combating drought and its effects in raising community awareness) was supervised by the Research Center in collaboration with the Technical College of Management in the campus of Chawarchra Technical Colleges Teachers and students held.

First, P.I.D. Ali Mohammed Saleh, who holds a master’s and doctoral degree in the field of environment, presented a paper on the environment and its scientific importance. Yahya Omar Reshawi spoke about the media and its role in creating environmental awareness.

Then Sarwar Karadaghi, an activist and journalist, discussed the level of attention of the Kurdish media to environmental issues.

The workshop discussed the increasing environmental problems, it was pointed out that the media has not paid enough attention to environmental problems and the environment has not become their biggest concern.

Then the participants asked questions and comments about environmental problems and the role of the media, and then answered.
