A Scientific Department is work for the development of Media technical cadres for the labor market in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq and Outside.

Established In the academic year (2013-2014) in the name of Media Technical Department, the first graduation in the summer (2016) and the number (7) students.

Aims of the department:

The Department aims at teaching and knowledge of the students about the modern scientific foundations of the media in general, especially the process of training and development of the students’ skills in the applied field in the different media arts in print and visual media.

Importance of the department in the market:

Increasing access to media technical cadres in the market in general, and media institutions in particular, because students are in the process of training the procedures of collection, access, preparation, production, production, publication or broadcast media materials.

Graduates of the department play a positive role in raising the awareness of the society about the media in general and highlighting the positive and negative aspects of the media work environment in the Kurdistan Region – Iraq in particular.
