This department established in slemani technical institute during study year of 2007-2008 under a title  of Engineering drawing .Study duration in this department was only 2 academic study year this in addition to two months  of practical training at those projects which belong to both private and general sectors .This  department closed after study year of 2017-2018 .

Nine  groups of students graduated from this department with a total number of about 500 students after closing  .

Job address of those who graduated from this department was Engineering drafter .

A new department of architectural  technics replaced the old one during study year of 2018-2019 . Those students whose  will graduate from this new department can be assistance of architectural engineers at both general and private sector this in addition to supervising different engineering projects during execution
