The Career Development Center (CDC) at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in partnership with the CDC at the University of Sulaimani, delivered a comprehensive Training of Trainers (ToT) program oriented toward the “Labor and Entrepreneurship” curriculum for selected university faculty members.
This initiative was a strategic step by both universities to implement the newly introduced “Entrepreneurship” and “Career Development” courses, recently added by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for all university departments. The program aims to strengthen students’ vocational readiness and foster stronger connections between academic institutions and the evolving labor market.
The intensive, 92-hour course ran from July 8 to August 12, 2026, with 45 lecturers from diverse academic backgrounds at both universities participating.
The workshop was facilitated and lectured by Dr. Abdulfattah Hawrami, Director of the Career Development Center at the University of Sulaimani, and Mr. Ayub Karim, Director of the Career Development Center at Sulaimani Polytechnic University
