The Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation Approves Summer Internship Plan Between Kurdistan Region Universities and Misr University for Science and Technology

On June 10, 2026, the Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation (ACSTI) held a virtual meeting attended by the Deputy Director of the Council, along with representatives from participating universities and academic institutions.

The meeting brought together representatives from Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Salahaddin University, Erbil Polytechnic University, Duhok Polytechnic University, Akre University for Applied Sciences, the University of Duhok, and the National Institute of Technology from the Kurdistan Region, as well as representatives from Misr University for Science and Technology in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

Sulaimani Polytechnic University was represented by Assist. Prof. Dr. Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, Vice President for Student Affairs and Executive Member of the Arab Council for Student Training and Innovation.

During the meeting, participants held extensive discussions on enhancing academic cooperation, developing student exchange programs, and strengthening scientific and academic relations among higher education institutions.

The Council approved the Student Summer Internship Plan for participating universities and institutions, with implementation scheduled to begin in August 2026.

This program represents a significant step toward strengthening academic partnerships, facilitating the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and expanding practical training and learning opportunities for students. It also supports the establishment of a broader scientific and academic cooperation network between higher education institutions in the Kurdistan Region and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
