Today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU), and in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Bakhtiyar Obaid Sharif, Vice President for Student Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Rebaz Jalil Abdullah, Director of General Registration, a special meeting was held with a group of university students selected for the International Summer Internship Program.
The meeting was organized to formally bid the students farewell, provide necessary guidelines and instructions, and emphasize the importance of representing the university with distinction abroad. The University Presidency encouraged the students to maximize their academic and professional development during the internship and to serve as exemplary ambassadors for Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the Kurdistan Region.
Notably, over 30 students from Sulaimani Polytechnic University have been selected this year to participate in the summer training program. They will complete their internships at six prestigious universities across the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Sultanate of Oman, and the Arab Republic of Egypt. These institutions include: the University of Jordan, Al-Zaytoonah University, University of Al Buraimi, Misr University for Science and Technology, Fayoum University, and Menoufia Private University.
This program is part of Sulaimani Polytechnic University’s ongoing commitment to expanding international cooperation, enhancing student skills and competencies, and fostering engagement with global academic and professional environments.
