Academic Departments
The Technical Institute of Chamchamal was established in 2000/2001. Two years later, the (Computer Systems) Department was inaugurated. since the first day it received high school graduate students from the scientific department and the top industrial department (Computer Dep.). Applying to the course was direct. In order to keep abreast of the progress made in the field of computer and information technology through the development of curricula and the provision of specializations in this field, the department has been changed from the specialization of (computer systems) to the specialization (Information Technology).
Accounting Department at Chamchamal technical institute was established in 2018-2019. The evening class of administration department was opened in 2019-2020, and it has been developing since then. This department accepts High School graduates of three tracks: Scientific, Humanities, and Vocational. If the student is fluent in the Arabic language, then it is better for him, and he succeeds in his field of study. Also, he must be familiar with computers and Microsoft, in this case the student will be successful.
Business administration is one of the management expertise’s that is provided by both governmental organizations and private companies through the qualified staff to serve in leading, operating, and developing society.
The electrical techniques Department is one of Chamchamal Technical Institution CTI departments that belong to Sulaimani Polytechnic University SPU, located in Chamchamal District in Sulaimani governorate. Students within two years of study are taught the basic fundamentals of electrical circuit science, maintaining and assembling electrical equipment in order to be prepared to hold a technical diploma certificate in the electrical field.
The Department of Nursing is one of the medical departments of Chamchamal Technical Institute of Sulaimani Polytechnic University. It was established in 2000 and started enrolling first-year students in the academic year (2000-2001). Since then, the department has begun by preparing and graduating nursing students to provide a number of nursing health services in various healthcare settings in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, including hospitals and primary healthcare centers.
