The department of Medical Laboratory in Darbandikhan Technical Institute SPU is located in Darbandikhan city and offers 2 years studying for a technical diploma in medical laboratory techniques. The department is established in 2025 under the name of ML. Medical Laboratory integrates key elements of biology, chemistry, and medicine focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases using clinical laboratory analyses. Professionals in this field perform tests on blood and other body fluids, help maintain health and assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Medical lab technologists work behind the scenes, providing clinicians with basic test results needed for patient care. The Department of Medical Laboratory recognizes that, in today’s world, students need a wide range of skills and knowledge to become key members of the health care team. Department Objectives
The objective of the department is to provide students with the knowledge and necessary skills to work as competent medical laboratory technicians. The department aims to equip students with a strong foundation in medical laboratory science, including laboratory testing techniques, interpretation of laboratory results, and proficiency in handling and analyzing different types of medical specimens. Students will also learn how to maintain laboratory equipment and manage laboratory information systems. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical training, graduates of this program will be prepared to work in a variety of medical laboratory settings, including hospitals, clinics, and research laboratories. The language of study at our department in Arabic and some are taught in English The system of study in our department is seasonally. Our department tries to utilize the modern methods of teaching. We do this by using what is available to us from whiteboards to data shows and other tools of teaching.
These on top of making sure our students learn the science both theoretically and practically.
The Period of Study:
Students at our department will obtain diploma of science in Medical laboratory after successfully studying the science of Medical laboratory for four semesters.
Method of Study:
The method of study in the Department of Pathology is based on the Bologna Process. The requirements for obtaining credit are the importance of student participation and attendance in class, quizzes, reports, seminars, assignments, activities prepared by students through whiteboards and datasheets Practice Our students gain full expertise in this field.
