The Importance of the Bologna Process was Highlighted in a Seminar at Sulaimani Polytechnic University

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarhang Sarwat Hama, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, a seminar on the implementation of the Bologna System in universities across the Kurdistan Region was held on October 30, 2025, in Piramerd Hall at the Sulaimani Polytechnic University Presidency.

The event began with a welcome speech by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, followed by several clarifications regarding the Bologna System, its methods, and the period of its application at Sulaimani Polytechnic University.

Afterward, Prof. Dr. Nazhad Ahmed Hussein, Head of the Zanko-LMS System at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, delivered the main presentation. His seminar focused on the official guide for the Bologna Process in the Kurdistan Region and its implementation in universities. He also emphasized the importance of adopting this system for university students and its role in enhancing the quality of higher education.

Deans and heads of departments from all colleges and institutes attended the seminar to gain a clearer understanding of the guide and its requirements.

It is worth noting that the Bologna System has been implemented at Sulaimani Polytechnic University for two years.
