Sulaimani Polytechnic University, in partnership with the Civil Development Organization (CDO), has launched a self-protection program against psychoactive substances and psychoactive drugs.
This program is implemented within the framework of the university’s strategy in cooperation with civil society organizations to raise awareness and provide self-protection against psychoactive substances and psychoactive drugs. The first activity of the program began with training educational counselors in preparatory schools in Sulaymaniyah and surrounding areas. The goal of this program is to prepare and inform these counselors about protecting students from the dangers of psychoactive substances.
On the first day, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed, a health specialist at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented important topics on self-protection and the dangers of psychoactive substances. The training was divided into groups, and the first group was successfully conducted.
The program continues for three days and includes various scientific and educational activities that work directly to enhance the capabilities of educational counselors to raise awareness among students and how to confront and protect themselves from psychoactive substances.
