The First Round of Capacity Building for Students and Graduates of Universities and Colleges in the Field of ICT and Cybersecurity has Successfully Ended
Academy (Cisco)- Sulaimani Polytechnic University Chawarchra Campus in Technical College of Engineering, in collaboration with Meridian International Center and the Office of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US State Department conducted a training course for 30 graduate students from universities and colleges in Sulaimani such as International Tishk International University, Jihan University, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Kurdistan Technical Institute and National Institute.
The course was conducted by a team of experts from universities in the Kurdistan Region, the United States and Europe. Each of Prof. Dr. Luo Webin of St. Mary’s University; Dr. Anastasia Apitek, a cybersecurity expert from the European Union; Asst. Prof. Dr. Sarkar Hassan from Technical College of Informatics; and Asst. Prof Mr. Awder Mohammed Ahmed of Technical College of Engineering conducted the course.
In order to pay more attention to the practical aspects of the course, IQ Company’s representative, engineer Sharo Karwan presented a lecture on cyber security. After completing all the theoretical and practical lessons, certificates were distributed to the participants who attended all the lessons.
The second round of the program will resume on 13-10-2024. Students who have already applied will participate.
more than 300 students and graduates of universities and colleges applied for this course in just two days, which shows the level of importance of the subject and the awareness of the applicants.
