Course Description
According to regulation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the duration of study is 2 years as below:
First year
- The 1st Semester comprises five modules, including two general modules and three core modules relevant to the department.
- The 2nd Semester includes five core modules specifically related to the department.

Ph.D. Program
A PhD is the highest possible academic degree a student can obtain. Students who graduate with a Ph.D. degree should possess advanced knowledge and a high level of skills and techniques associated with their chosen subject area.
Course Name: PhD. In Information Technology
Course Description:
According to the regulation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the duration of study is 3 years as below:
First year
- The 1st Semester comprises five modules, including one general module and four core modules relevant to the department.
- The 2nd Semester involves formulating the PhD thesis proposal, assigning a supervisor, and delivering a seminar presentation.

Second and Third year
Each year comprises of two semesters (1st and 2nd Semester), students undertake their PhD Thesis.

Requirements: (who can apply)
Students with the essential qualification specified by the department and should be compatible with regulation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
How to Apply
- Obtain official transcripts for transfer credit.
- Complete the admission application.
- Write a personal statement.
- Success in the competitive exam.
Language Requirement
English language skill is required (IELTS-Academic, TOEFL, PTE, Language Center Certificate).
Scientific Ability Exam Process
- It includes some core modules (four or five), which are specified by the college’s postgraduate scientific committee.
- A written examination typically spans a duration of approximately three hours.
- The competition is among students who succussed in the exam.
- Students that passed the exam are competing; based on the number of the available seats.
Thesis Submission Process
- Get the supervisor’s approval on the PhD thesis.
- College formatting approval with college’s affiliation (before defense).
- Submit the first copy of the PhD thesis to the graduate study office.
- Scientific evaluation approval of doctor’s thesis.
- Submit a paper copy the thesis examination committee.
- Makes the corrections specified by the thesis examination committee.
- Singed papers (after successful defense).
