The Department of Database Technology is one of the departments of the College of Informatics at the Sulaymaniyah Polytechnic University, and the study in this department is four years.
The year (2013-2014) was the first year for the admission of students to the department, as they were admitted to the second stage directly based on the rules of database technology, because they were graduates of the institute. Founded as Database Technology, it received the first batch of graduates in (2015-2016), and they were (12) students.
Objectives of the Department:
The Objectives of opening this department is to prepare a class of talented students who have the ability to study database technology, programming and other subjects like computer networks, mobile applications, multimedia and so on.
As everyday technology moves forward, the world in general and our society in particular now needs more expertise in these areas. For this reason, those with a background in database technology and programming are becoming more desirable.
Due to the necessity of database technology in society nowadays, database expertise and technology have their own role in the field of business and companies.
Graduates of the Department of Database Technology will be able to work in the field of: Database, Networking, Mobile Applications and Programming.
