An Eminent American University Allocates a Research Grant to A Professor At SPU to Continue His Research On Cancer

A source at the university media department announced that Dr. Bilal Abdul Rahman Mohammed , a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University received a Research Grant of the American University of Cincinnati, , which is among the top 25 public research university in the United States , to conduct research in the field of cancer.

The source added that the American University sent a formal invitation to Dr.Bilal Abdel-Rahman Mohammed, to conduct research related to cancer in the Research Center of its hospital defined as the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, which is among the top three US research centers specialized cancer, so after reviewing his biography and self-research done by or published in several international journals, noting that Dr. Bilal had already conducted a series research in the field of cancer during his graduate studies in Nottingham University of UK, has also published a series of research on the subject in the well-known international areas, including the Journal of Experimental Medicine.

Dr. Bilal, said that the increase in cancer rates in the world in general and Iraq and the Kurdistan Region in particular, motivated me to focus on research related to the disease, hoping to contribute to the international effort to reduce the incidence and treatment, as well as gain added expertise through friction scientists Americans, doctors and communicate with developments the world in the field of cancer.

It is noteworthy that Bilal Abdul Rahman Mohammed, holds a Bachelor in Microbiology from Faculty of Science, University of Salahaddin in 1999 , and a Master Microbiology from Baghdad University 2005, and doctoral specialization molecular biology in the field of cancer, cancer molecular biology, Nottingham University in 2013 .. Currently, he is teaching at the department of the pathological analyses/Halabja Technical Institute
