\n* Nahrein Network, based at the University College London (UCL), is a collaborative international
\nproject between UCL, University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, Cultural Heritage
\nOrganization, the University of Al-Qadisiyah. Nahrein Network was previously funded by an AHRC
\nGCRF from 2017 to 2021. But now are continuing their mission until 2031, funded by a generous
\nphilanthropic gift.<\/p>\n
About the speaker:
\nDr Lyn Wilson is a heritage scientist with over 20 years\u2019 experience in digital documentation
\npractice and conservation\/archaeological science. She has a BSc in Archaeology, MA and PhD in
\nArchaeological Science. As Head of Programme for Technical Research and Science at Historic
\nEnvironment Scotland, the lead public body established to investigate, care for and promote
\nScotland's historic environment, Lyn has operational oversight of digital documentation, digital
\ninnovation, conservation science, technical research and climate change activities.
\nLyn is a Specialist Assessor on digital documentation to the British Council\u2019s Cultural Protection
\nFund, an Expert Member of CIPA and a Board Member of the ICOMOS-UK Scientific Committee on
\nDigital Heritage Technologies. Her research interests focus on the intersection of heritage science
\nand digital documentation in the historic environment, and the application of emerging
\ntechnologies for practical conservation applications. She is a passionate advocate for research
\nintegrating science and technology within cultural heritage practice. Lyn works closely with
\nacademic partners and is external examiner for UCL\u2019s MSc Data Science for Cultural Heritage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
