On 09\/01\/2022, an international joint workshop of the #DCH-CHO-NN (Nahrein Network)
\nentitled, \u201cOpportunities for Postgraduate Studying and Visiting Scholarship from the Nahrein
\nNetwork and BISI " took place.
\nOver 318 participants from 45 different universities and government and non-government
\norganizations from a total of 6 countries (Iraq, Austria, Algeria, India, United States of America,
\nand Germany). And locally in Iraq, participants attended the workshop from 15 different cities
\nand Towns, including (Sulaimani, Erbil, Kirkuk, Halabja, Duhok, Najaf, Babylon, Koya, Zakho,
\nDarbandikhan, Zarayan, Kalar, Chamchamal, Khanaqin, Taqtaq).
\nThe workshop was presented by Dr. Rozhen Kamal Mohemmed-Amin, Founder and director of
\nDigital Cultural Heritage Research Center, Co-Director of the Nahrein Network at Sulaimani
\nPolytechnic University (SPU).
\n*The Nahrein Network, based at the University College London (UCL), is a collaborative
\ninternational project between UCL, University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University,
\nCultural Heritage Organization, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah. Nahrein Network was
\npreviously funded by an AHRC GCRF from 2017 to 2021. But now are continuing their mission
\nuntil 2031, funded by a generous philanthropic gift.<\/p>\n
