{"id":5153,"date":"2021-06-17T11:59:29","date_gmt":"2021-06-17T08:59:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/?p=5153"},"modified":"2024-05-14T12:38:00","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T09:38:00","slug":"an-international-workshop-on-from-the-ground-to-the-cloud-using-oracc-org-to-edit-the-cuneiform-tablets-from-tell-khaiber-took-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/an-international-workshop-on-from-the-ground-to-the-cloud-using-oracc-org-to-edit-the-cuneiform-tablets-from-tell-khaiber-took-place\/","title":{"rendered":"An international workshop on \u201cFrom the ground to the cloud: Using Oracc.org to edit the cuneiform tablets from Tell Khaiber\u201d took place"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 16th, 2021, the 9th international training workshop of the joint Digital cultural heritage (DCH)-the Nahrein Network \u201cDigital Cultural Heritage\u201d Training Program under the title \u201cFrom the ground to the cloud: Using Oracc.org to edit the cuneiform tablets from Tell Khaiber\u201d&#8221; was held.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over 120 participants from 31 different universities and government and non-government associations and organizations from a total of 9 countries (Iraq, Netherland, Algeria, UK, USA, Israel, Yemen-India-Spain) attended the workshop, and locally participants attended from (Sulaymaniyah \u2013 Erbil \u2013 Kirkuk \u2013 Halabja \u2013 Koya- and Duhok).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two-hour-long workshop was presented by Professor Dr. Eleanor Robson, Professor of Ancient Middle Eastern History and Head of the History Department at University College London.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Nahrein Network is a collaborative international project between University College London (UCL), University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah.
