{"id":5134,"date":"2021-02-14T11:14:45","date_gmt":"2021-02-14T08:14:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/?p=5134"},"modified":"2024-05-14T12:37:44","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T09:37:44","slug":"an-international-workshop-on-holistic-sustainable-city-planning-opportunities-for-fostering-mental-and-physical-wellness-took-place","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/an-international-workshop-on-holistic-sustainable-city-planning-opportunities-for-fostering-mental-and-physical-wellness-took-place\/","title":{"rendered":"An international workshop on \u201cHolistic Sustainable City Planning: Opportunities for Fostering Mental and Physical Wellness\u201d took place."},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On February 1st, 2021, the second international training workshop of the joint Digital cultural heritage (DCH)-the Nahrein Network \u201cCreative Cities\u201d Training Program under the title \u201cHolistic Sustainable City Planning: Opportunities for Fostering Mental and Physical Wellness&#8221; was held.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Over 173 participants from 33 different universities and government and non-government associations and organizations from a total of 5 countries (Iraq, Iran, United Kingdom, USA, and Netherland) attended the workshop, and locally participants attended from (Sulaymaniyah \u2013 Erbil \u2013 koya \u2013 Halabja \u2013 Kirkuk- and Duhok).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The two and half hour workshop was presented by Dr. Sara Alinaghi Pour, Municipal Planner at the City of Chestermere, Canada. During the webinar, Dr. Sara discussed sustainable planning for cities and what are the opportunities that can be used to improve both physical and physiological conditions of a city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Nahrein Network is a collaborative international project between University College London (UCL), University of Oxford, Sulaimani Polytechnic University, and the University of Al-Qadisiyah.
