Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Hoshyar Abdullah Aziz, President of Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU), and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Bakhtiar Obeid Sharif, Vice President for Student Affairs, the SPU Career Development Center (CDC), in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO), is launching five Job Search Clubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Job Search Club project is a joint initiative between Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the ILO, with the active participation of the Sulaimani Vocational Training Directorate and the Kurdistan Save the Children Youth Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The primary objective of this project is to establish five Job Search Clubs within the Sulaimani Governorate. These clubs aim to provide specialized training and consultancy services to SPU students and graduates specifically, and to the youth population in general, to facilitate their integration into the labor market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first phase of the project focused on capacity building, during which 10 professional trainers were prepared to lead and supervise the clubs. The second phase involves the official inauguration of the five clubs, distributed as follows: two clubs within Sulaimani Polytechnic University, one at the Barika Campus, one at the Sulaimani Vocational Training Directorate, and one at the Kurdistan Save the Children Youth Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the project, 100 unemployed youth and university graduates will undergo intensive training designed to equip them with the necessary skills for the job market. Each club will host and train 20 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An additional component of the project is the “Career Guide” program, which provides professional guidance to students across all SPU colleges and institutes, as well as to unemployed youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
