{"id":43058,"date":"2026-06-09T10:51:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T07:51:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/?p=43058"},"modified":"2026-06-09T10:51:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T07:51:57","slug":"sulaimani-polytechnic-university-launches-the-first-digital-repository-platform-for-master-and-phd-theses-in-the-kurdistan-region-and-iraq","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/sulaimani-polytechnic-university-launches-the-first-digital-repository-platform-for-master-and-phd-theses-in-the-kurdistan-region-and-iraq\/","title":{"rendered":"Sulaimani Polytechnic University Launches the First Digital Repository Platform for Master and PhD Theses in the Kurdistan Region and Iraq"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the ongoing efforts of the Directorate of Information Technology and Statistics to support digital transformation and enhance scientific research, Sulaimani Polytechnic University (SPU)\u00a0 has officially launched a dedicated Electronic Digital Repository platform for archiving Master and PhD theses carried out by our\u00a0 postgraduate students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This platform serves as the university\u2019s official institutional repository for preserving and disseminating postgraduate theses conducted by the university\u2019s students. It also provides researchers and students with easy online access to postgraduate theses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Currently, the platform includes theses from postgraduates of the following colleges:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical College of Administration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical College of Engineering<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical College of Informatics<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Technical College of Health and Medical Technology<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Halabja Technical College<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the same time, SPU has established collaboration agreements with ProQuest by Web of Science and EBSCO for publishing Master and PhD theses on their specialized databases and platforms in Kurdish, Arabic, and English languages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is worth mentioning that this platform is the first initiative of its kind at the level of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, developed by SPU to provide postgraduates with online access to their theses\u00a0 through a dedicated platform.
