With the aim of supporting university instructors who have previously completed teaching methodology courses and familiarizing them with the latest contemporary teaching methods, techniques, and approaches, Sulaimani Polytechnic University announced the Intensive Short Course in Pedagogy.<\/p>\n
The opening of this course is based on Ministry Decree No. (15620) dated August 24, 2025, signed by His Excellency Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in accordance with Article Twenty-Three of Directive No. (4) of 2021 regarding pedagogical training courses in universities in the Kurdistan Region.<\/p>\n
Accordingly, it has been decided to open an intensive short pedagogical training course for instructors at Kurdistan Region universities who have previously completed teaching methodology courses and currently hold one of the permanent academic titles: Assistant Lecturer, Lecturer, Assistant Professor, or Professor. In addition, the course allows participation for instructors who obtained their academic titles and completed teaching methodology courses prior to 2021.<\/p>\n
Course Details<\/p>\n
\u2022 Duration: Six (6) weeks<\/p>\n
\u2022 Credits: Twelve (12) ECTS<\/p>\n
\u2022 Schedule: Three (3) days per week, four (4) hours per day<\/p>\n
\u2022 Participation Fee: 50,000 (fifty thousand) Iraqi dinars<\/p>\n
\u2022 Participation: Voluntary<\/p>\n
Instructors who participate in this course will receive the following rights and privileges:<\/p>\n
1. A certificate of participation.<\/p>\n
2. A letter of recognition and appreciation signed by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.<\/p>\n
3. Exemption from the quality assurance process for one (1) academic year.<\/p>\n
