The Technical College of Health and Medicine at Sulaimani Polytechnic University held a scientific symposium for World Cancer Day on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. The event took place in the conference hall of the Chawarchraw Technical Colleges Campus and was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Younis Sabir Abdullah, Dean of the Technical College of Health and Medicine, representatives from the Regional Hospital, as well as a number of faculty members and academics.<\/p>\n

The symposium, titled “Early Screening and Its Effects on Breast Cancer,” was organized by the Technical College of Health and Medicine in coordination with the Kurdistan Regional Hospital. Several scientific articles were presented during the event. Dr. Sever Tahir Abdul Razzaq, PhD in Adult Nursing (Oncology), discussed the role of early screening in breast cancer reduction. Dr. Bakhtiar Kamal Talabani, PhD in Radiology and Ultrasound and a lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University, presented on the role of radiation diagnosis in cancer. Dr. Dalia Tariq Abdul Ghafoor, PhD (Board) in General Surgery, focused on breast cancer treatment strategies. These experts provided valuable and detailed information to the participants.<\/p>\n

At the end of the symposium, participants had the opportunity to ask the experts several questions and received scientific answers.<\/p>\n
