{"id":3635,"date":"2019-03-02T21:00:10","date_gmt":"2019-03-02T18:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/?p=3635"},"modified":"2019-05-06T12:07:13","modified_gmt":"2019-05-06T09:07:13","slug":"uk-university-invites-spu-lecturer-to-present-in-a-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spu.edu.iq\/en\/uk-university-invites-spu-lecturer-to-present-in-a-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"UK university invites SPU lecturer to present in a workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In her latest academic activities, Dr. Rozhen Kamal Muhammad-Amin, lecturer at Sulaimani Polytechnic University and the head of Digital Cultural Heritage research group, has been invited to present a topic on using modern technology in museum buildings with some of her UK peers\u00a0in a series of workshops organized by Glasgow University.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was held from February 20-23, 2019 in Sulaimani city and attended by 44 antiquities officials, archaeologists, archaeology students from Kurdistan Region as well as a number of DCH group members. It was organized as part of Cultural Protection Fund funded project \u201cArchaeological Practice and Heritage Protection in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq\u201d\u00a0that is funded by British Council and received\u00a0\u00a3300,000. The project is managed by Dr. Claudia Glatz from University of Glasgow in partnership with several US, UK and local institutions.<\/p>\n<p>It i worth mentioning that Dr. Rozhen Kamal is the only participant from KRI to present along US and UK researchers.
