The presenters are co-directors of a one-year-long project funded by UCL&#8217;s Nahrain Network and the events are part of activities to be held between the\u00a0Cultural Heritage Network\u00a0 of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DigitalCulturalHeritage.DCH\">Digital Cultural Heritage<\/a>\u00a0research group at SPU <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rc.spu.edu.iq\">Research Center<\/a> and two UK based universities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The first workshop was presented by the president of RASHID International and the co-investigator of the project, Prof. Roger Matthews about \u201cInter-disciplinary approaches to the past: how archaeology can address important issues of today\u201d. The workshop was attended by 93 people including researchers, archaeologists, lecturers and students form and outside of SPU.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The second workshop was Presented by Dr. Ruth Young co-investigator of CHN from University of Leicester in which she dealt with \u201cHeritage and Community Engagement\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">CHN id the first grand, UK funded, multi-partner research project in which Sulaimani Polytechnic University is the main supervisor.
