\nThe English Language Center (ELC), belonging to the Sulaimani Polytechnic University, was established in 2014 as one of the premier university English language centers in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region. The Centre is accredited by the KRG Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and is authorised by the Ministry\u2019s Directorate of the Teaching Quality Assurance as a center for granting English language certificate.
\nThe ELC runs its courses with the support of a well-qualified teachers and support staff. The teaching staff possesses university degrees (MA and PhD) in TESOL and English Linguistics attained from high ranking universities in English-speaking countries. Further, the teachers have previous experience in the field of teaching the English language both at national and international universities and private education institutions.<\/p>\n

\nELC seeks to become a pioneer English language center in Kurdistan and the leading and preferred international Centre for training and education.<\/p>\n
Mission
\nThe English Language Center (ELC) is dedicated to offering English courses of outstanding quality to help students from the region, domestically and internationally, achieve their potentials and make a rewarding contribution to their own communities. By assigning highly qualified and committed instructors and by making use of a dynamic and inclusive curriculum, ELC makes the perfect environment for rapid language improvement available.<\/p>\n
Objectives:
\n\u00b7 To offer English Language courses to academics, employees and students from inside and outside the Sulaimani Polytechnic University.
\n\u00b7 To teach English Language and acquaint learners with the language skills (i.e. Speaking, Listening, Writing, Reading, Grammar).
\n\u00b7 To design the tailor-made English language courses for speakers of other languages.
\n\u00b7 To undertake intensive courses in training students and researchers on research methodology and providing them with academic and linguistic excellence that will enable them to generate academic essays effectively.
\n\u00b7 To seek for effective collaboration with both domestic and international language centers and institutes to provide the Center with language supports that will consolidate the teaching process.<\/p>\n
