The Information Technology department was founded in 2021, followed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research&#8217;s acceleration. The Technical Diploma of Information Technology is offered on a full-time basis. The duration of study for the full-time program is subjected to the student\u2019s entry qualifications and lasts between two (2) years to a maximum of four (4) years.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Information Technology (IT) Department is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization&#8217;s technology infrastructure and digital systems. The department typically consists of several term or departments that specialize in different aspects of technology management, such as network administration, Programming, information security, database management, and technical support. The IT department plays a critical role in ensuring that an organization&#8217;s technology resources are optimized to support its business goals and objectives. As a diploma student, you may learn about the different areas of IT and develop skills in specific areas such as programming, networking, or database management. You may also learn about project management, and help desk support.<\/p><h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>The IT department is responsible for various areas such as:<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><ol style=\"text-align: justify;\"><li>Infrastructure Management: This involves the management of the organization&#8217;s technology infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and storage systems. It also involves ensuring that these systems are secure, reliable, and available to support the organization&#8217;s operations.<\/li><li>Application Development: This involves the development, customization, and maintenance of software applications that support the organization&#8217;s business processes. It also involves writing code, testing software, and providing user support.<\/li><li>Information Security: This involves ensuring that the organization&#8217;s information is secure from cyber threats. It includes implementing security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, and encryption, as well as developing security policies and training employees on the best practices.<\/li><li>Project Management: This involves overseeing technology-related projects within the organization. It includes ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and meet the organization&#8217;s business needs.<\/li><\/ol><h5 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Vision:<\/strong><\/span><\/h5><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our vision for the Diploma in Information Technology program is to create a diverse and inclusive learning community that inspires and prepares students to become innovative problem-solvers and leaders in the field of IT. Through a combination of theoretical and practical training, we aim to equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset needed to succeed in a rapidly changing and increasingly interconnected world.
