\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 The Department of Nursing is one of the medical departments of Halabja Technical Institute. It was established in 2003 in Halabja. The department prepares nurse technician cadre with holding basic technical qualification (two years) and is open to any student interested in taking technical diploma.<\/p>

Therefore, the Department of Nursing offers a number of qualified nurses who have the opportunity to gain more understanding, knowledge and skills to provide proper healthcare services in medical health sectors.<\/p>

Vision:<\/span><\/h5>
  1. Medical science has a direct relation with the lives of members of the community and this relation grows day by day. Therefore, preparing skilled nurses is our priority.<\/li>
  2. Alumni of nursing department would play a great role in the community through conducting researches and publishing medical information. This has a great impact on developing health sector and building a healthy community.<\/li>
  3. We try to be among the top in teaching and conducting scientific researches to develop health sector in Kurdistan region. Graduates would learn how to handle health sector\u2019s instruments responsibly.<\/li><\/ol>
    Mission:<\/span><\/h5>

    1- The department prepares nurse technician employee with holding basic technical certificate (two years), and it is opened for any student who is interested in getting technical Diploma or they have low average marks.<\/p>

    2- Conducting scientific research and holding conferences and workshops in various fields to develop health science and public awareness.<\/p>

    3- Preparing short-term and long-term programs to enhance career performance of the nurses who are working in the hospitals and introducing them with the recent scientific changes.\u00a0<\/p>

    4- We would benefit from the new medical instruments and equipment, and we familiarize students with them. Also, we would use them in the health services of society.\u00a0<\/p>

    5- Participating in increasing Job opportunities for the graduates (alumni) and unemployed young people through training and consultancy.<\/p>

    6- Developing scientific and cultural relationships with national and international organizations.<\/p>

    Graduates after graduation can do the following:<\/span><\/h5>
    1. Looking after patients in the hospitals.<\/li>
    2. Helping the physicians to diagnose and treat the patient.<\/li>
    3. Helping the patient to get recover.<\/li>
    4. Giving prescribed medicine to the<\/li>
    5. Caring and giving first aid in the emergencies\u00a0<\/li><\/ol>
      The significance of the Department in the market:<\/span><\/h5>
      1. There are not sufficient nurses in the hospitals of Kurdistan Region.<\/li>
      2. Rapidly growing number of private hospitals and shortage of nurses in the market.<\/li>
      3. rapidly growing\u00a0the causes of the infectious diseases, would lead the country to need more hospitals and more nurses.<\/li><\/ol>
