The duration of study was two years, like all scientific departments in technical institutes, except for two months of practical training in government offices or private sector projects. The aim of opening this department at the Sulaymaniyah Technical Institute is to prepare a Specialized staff in the field of the survey of engineering projects and be an assistant to the civil engineer in the projects.
