A Brief about the department

The Department of Financial and Accounting Techniques was established in November 2003 and started its study for the academic year (2003-2004). The purpose of the establishment was to prepare cadres and technical staff specialized in financial sciences And accounting for the work in all companies and service institutions, commercial and industrial, banking sector and insurance related to the use of computer technology in the completion of financial and accounting functions.

Section Vision:

The vision of the department is leadership and excellence in education, academic and professional accounting research, and the introduction of modern study programs in the field of financial and accounting sciences.

Section Message:

The department’s mission is to improve its accounting and financial aspects, through academic and technical competencies that have the knowledge, abilities, and skills to meet the needs of the labor market graduates in the fields of finance and accounting.

A Brief about the department

The objectives of the scientific department are as follows:

1- Prepare the scientific and practical cadres qualified to work in the field of finance and accounting.

2- To raise the level of teaching performance in line with the requirements of the department and the faculty in the future by attracting the distinguished scientific competencies, and covering the needs of the scientific section by appointing the first distinguished graduates as repeaters in the department and then dropping an opportunity for them to complete their higher studies in our university and in other universities.

3- To contribute to the efforts made through cooperation between the department and the corresponding departments to develop the profession of accounting, auditing, finance, banking, and service, in order to adopt professional practices of high efficiency in various accounting fields.

4- Keeping pace with the scientific development in the department in line with modern developments in the modern environment imposed by the practice of accounting work using the computer (computer) in operating accounting systems in all accounting and financial units and units, whether in the public sector or the private sector.

1- Raise the labor market with high-quality technical staff to meet and keep up with the latest scientific and technological developments.

2- Contribute to the upgrading of the capabilities and personal skills of human cadres in line with the aspirations and needs of the market and the community in the field of accounting and auditing and financial advisory and legal review.

3- To ensure the highest degree of compatibility between academic educational outputs and the skills required for the labor market.

4- Focus on the use of the Internet and computer technologies in training and education through scientific and practical laboratories in the department.

Types of works can be implemented by the graduates of this department

Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance are able to:

1- Ability to use a computer in all areas of accounting and finance.

2- Organization and preparation of salary lists and dues computer.

3- Record all accounting and financial transactions, organize and maintain documents and records, and conduct inventory, and participate in committees that require that there be a financial member.

4- Conducting matches, preparation of statements, balance sheets, preparation of final accounts, and financial position.

5- Participating in the provision of financial advice and the provision of proposals to solve administrative problems and develop solutions to them.

6- Carrying out the work of the Fund’s Secretariat, keeping the Fund’s daily record, and conducting monthly reconciliations for the bank’s disclosure (matching the bank’s statement).

We believe, as applicable, that the graduate works under the title of “Associate Accountant, Associate Auditor” and gradually carries the titles higher than that through the years of service and experience and according to financial instructions.

The educational program in the department is suitable for graduates of the scientific branch in the basic grades and does not prevent the admission of the first graduates of the institutes of accounting departments.
