The Minister of Higher Education laid the foundation stone for the university’s housing project of Sulaimani Polytechnic University
On 3 May 2018 under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Qubad Talabani and in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Yousif Goran, president of Sulaimani Polytechnic University Dr. Alan Faraidoon, Vices President, deans of faculties, and a number of professors and staff of the University, The foundation stone of the university’s residential complex has been laid. The complex includes 11 buildings, 660 housing units on an area of 28donum.
The ceremony began with a moment of silence for our righteous martyrs. Then Dr. Alan delivered a welcoming speech. He said that this project is one of the most important projects that serve the interest of the people in general and the Sulaimani Polytechnic University in particular. He thanked all the government departments attending the ceremony, and the Balambo Company that implementing the project.
Also Dr.Alan congratulated the SPU staff for the project, and then Dr.Yousif Goran delivered his speech and said that this project is another type of service provided toSPU faculty and staff, and I hope that each of them will benefit from it.
Balambo Company Representative presented a summery about the project, he said the cost of housing unit will be 60 000$ and the installments payment will be paid in phases and the employee will not pay any advance unless a part of the building is completed and the structure of the building is show then the payment in the first phase is by giving 50% of the cost of the housing unit in another word 30.000$ and then pay the rest of the installments within three years, the duration of the project implementation and the monthly payment is 400 per month .
And to fill out the housing form will be announced on the university’s website in the coming days.
