Sulaimani Polytechnic University Organizes a Laboratory Course for the Health Professionals of SPU & Directorate of Health Staff  in Sulaimani.

Technical College of Health (TCH) announced the launch of the second training course for the SPU Faculty & Directorate of Health staff . It will include informing the participants about the scientific developments in the field of pathological analysis labs as a preparatory step in order to obtain the license to open labs later after passing the tests in this field.

The Dean of the Technical College of Health, Dr. Mohamed Babeker Mina, said that the College started on the first of October 2017, the second development course for SPU and Directorate of Health Staff in Sulaimani within the framework of the activities of the College and the University to serve the local community, out that the courses held at the SPU/TCH suggestion and request of the General Directorate of Health of Sulaimani and the Syndicate of Health Professionals, and will be lasting for six months from 10th Oct 2017 to March 2018.

He added that the course aims to inform the participants about the scientific developments in the field of pathological analysis laboratories, such as those related to hormones, viruses and blood diseases, and equipment used in them, noting that participants in the course will receive a certificate of participation to enable them to open laboratories after passing the relevant tests in the Ministry of Health.

The head of the branch of the Syndicate of Health in Sulaimani, Mr.Hawzhin Othman and the secretary of the union branch and the head of the laboratory department, Awat Abu Bakr Hama Amin, attended the ceremony.

It is worth mentioning that in August 2017, Technical College of Health announced the establishment of a high diploma study in the field of health and society for those wishing to be staff of the Ministry of Health, indicating that this was done in cooperation with the Directorate of Health in Sulaimani.

The Technical College of Health at the SPU currently comprises three sections: Community Health, Medical Lab Technique and Anesthesia.
