Sulaimani Polytechnic University concludes five memorandums of understanding with Turkish or Cypriot Universities

Sulaimani Polytechnic University announced the signing of five memorandums of understanding with Turkish and Cyprus universities, indicating that it includes the exchange of experiences and visits, the establishment of scientific events, joint research and training opportunities for the members.
The director of public& academic relations at the university, Mr.Bakhtiar Obaid Sharif, said that the President of the SPU, Dr,Alan has recently visited Turkey and Turkish Cyprus and was able to conclude four memorandums of understanding with Yüzüncü Yıl, FIRAT, Bingöl and SIIRT universities and another memorandum of understanding with Cyprus university (CIU).
He added that the five memorandum include “exchanging experiences and visits, setting up scientific conferences and workshops, conducting joint research and training opportunities for faculty members, employees and students. He said that the university president succeeded in covering the students of SPU with the Maulana Turkish Academic Exchange Program funded by Higher Education Committee of Turkish Foreign Ministry.
He also clarified that the five new memorandums of understanding show the keenness of the university presidency to provide more opportunities for development, progress and capacity building for its employees as well as to continue to open up to the world to consolidate the position of the SPU in the global scientific and international map, confirming that the university was able to activate 28 memorandums of understanding and investing it by holding conferences and conducting joint research and other events is for the benefit of its employees.
Worth mentioning that Sulaimani Polytechnic University has already concluded 49 memorandums of understanding with academic bodies of Kurdistan, Iraq, regional and global.
