Sulainani Polytechnic University Granting first Master’s degree in community health

On 28th of April 2016, Master’s thesis on community health was discussed in the seminar hall/camp of the technical colleges, and the master’s debate was attended by assist Prof Dr.Soran Said vice president for scientific affairs and Higher education and assist Prof Dr.Mohamed Babaker Mina Dean Of Technical college of Health and number of lecturers and staff of the SPU.

Master Program student Abdurahman Mohamed Ibrahim read his thesis entitled (Revalence, Knowledge and Practices of Hepatitis B and C Viruses among Patients Undergoing Surgery in Sulaimani City)

The thesis was written under the supervision of the Assist Prof Dr. Fadhel Ahmed Mohamed,and assist prof Dr.Mohamed Babaker Mina and a scientific committee discussed the thesis ,and the student was awarded the degree of excellence in his thesis .

It is worth to mention that this was the first time that SPU grants and discuss a thesis on Community Health, and planning to open a section to study for a doctorate in health sciences and community health in the future.
