Darbandikhan Technical Institute DATI

The Technical Institute of Darbandi Khan is a branch of the Ministry of Higher Education established in 29/09/2005 under the Council of Ministers’ official order (Issue No. 2312). It initially consisted of two departments (Electricity and Accountancy). The Institute was established in order to provide the Darbandi Khan high school students the opportunity to apply for a local institute and to gain technical diploma in a variety of areas offering them the opportunity to gain jobs in the Governmental and private sectors.
In 2006-2007 the Institute provided academic seats to 90 students. The first academic year was in a governmental foundation, which was later on renovated by the Municipality of Darbandi Khan and became a modern and well-constructed building.
By 2010, following the suggestion of the head of the institute, the Technical Foundation Board decided to establish Business & Administration Department in the institute and offered seats to a number of students. By 2011, the Surveying department was launched. In addition, the Polytechnic University of Suli gave acceptance to the institute for establishing Nursing department in 2015.
